Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport Returns from Italy with a Victory
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport completed the 4th round of the GT4 European Series at the legendary Misano circuit in Italy. In a challenging weekend with temperatures nearing 40 degrees Celsius, the drivers not only competed against their rivals but also battled the scorching weather to achieve remarkable results. Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar claimed victory on Sunday, while Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie advanced from 15th to finish in 4th place.

In a challenging weekend with temperatures nearing 40 degrees Celsius, the drivers not only competed against their rivals but also battled the scorching weather to achieve remarkable results. Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar claimed victory on Sunday, while Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie advanced from 15th to finish in 4th place.
On the first day of the 4th round of the GT4 European Series, held on July 15-16, Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie initially finished 2nd but dropped to 7th due to a 10-second penalty. Meanwhile, Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar, starting from 19th, showcased an exceptional performance to finish 4th.
In Sunday’s second race, Berkay Besler was the first to take the wheel. Starting from 3rd, Besler executed a flawless maneuver on the first lap to seize the lead. After the pit stop, Tom Edgar defended against aggressive attacks from rivals, maintaining the lead and raising the Turkish flag as the national anthem played in Italy.
In car number 11, Yağız Gedik, who started the race in 15th, demonstrated an outstanding performance, advancing eight positions to enter the pit stop in 7th place. Taking over the car, Enzo Joulie climbed to 4th, earning valuable points alongside his teammate.
With these results, Berkay and Tom moved up to 2nd place in the Silver category.
The 5th round of the GT4 European Series will take place on September 2-3 at Germany's Hockenheim Circuit.
