Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) competed in the fourth round of the 2026 GT4 European Series at Italy’s legendary Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Delivering a strong performance throughout the weekend, Thomas Rackl and Gabriele Piana, driving the #12 car, remained in podium contention until the final lap of Race 2 and ultimately finished fourth overall. Meanwhile, Yağız Gedik and Batı Yıldırım, behind the wheel of the #11 car, crossed the finish line in 13th place overall in both races.

The fourth race weekend of the 2026 GT4 European Series took place on 18–19 July at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy. Fielding two cars, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport collected valuable championship points over a highly competitive weekend.

In Saturday’s opening race, Yağız Gedik and Batı Yıldırım, driving the #11 car, delivered a consistent performance to finish 10th in the Silver category and 13th overall.

Thomas Rackl and Gabriele Piana, competing in the #12 car, were forced to retire after contact during the race resulted in a mechanical issue.

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport bounced back strongly in the second race at Misano. Thomas Rackl and Gabriele Piana spent most of the race battling for a podium finish, remaining firmly in contention for a top-three result until the closing stages. With two laps remaining, a safety car period brought the field back together. An unfortunate incident on the final lap dropped the pair one position, leaving them to finish fourth overall, narrowly missing out on a podium finish.

Starting from 17th on the grid, Yağız Gedik and Batı Yıldırım mounted an impressive recovery drive in the #11 car to once again finish 13th overall, completing the weekend with another solid and consistent performance.

With a determined performance at Misano, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport secured valuable championship points and maintained its title ambitions heading into the remainder of the season. The team has now turned its focus to preparations for the next round of the GT4 European Series.

The fifth round of the GT4 European Series will take place at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands on 18–20 September.
