BOM Karting Opens the 2026 Season at İzmit Körfez Circuit

The Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) Karting Team made a competitive start to the Motul 2026 Turkish Karting Championship with its renewed driver lineup. On April 11–12, the team competed with seven drivers across four different categories at TOSFED Körfez Race Circuit.

In the Micro Support Cup, the team’s youngest driver, Yiğit Nedim Çelik, racing with car number 29, finished in 2nd place and secured a podium result for the weekend. In the Junior category, Efe Ayhan, competing with car number 232, stood out with a consistent performance from qualifying onward and crossed the finish line in 5th place.

In the Senior category, Kaan Ballık, driving car number 337, narrowly missed the podium despite a strong performance and finished 5th. Demir Sağım, with car number 395, placed 8th, while Oğuz Marangoz, racing car number 330, finished in 13th position.

The BOM Karting Team will return to the track for the second round of the season on May 16–17 at Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Karting Circuit.

BOM Karting to Compete in Four Categories with Seven Drivers

BOM Karting Team will compete in four categories with seven drivers during the 2026 season. In the Senior category, Demir Sağım, Oğuz Marangoz, and Kaan Ballık will represent the team, while Süleyman Cem Karakömür and Efe Ayhan will compete in the Junior category. Can Kalkan will race in the Mini category, while Yiğit Nedim Çelik will compete in the Micro category

BOM Karting to Start in Seven Different Races in Türkiye in 2026

BOM Karting will take part in seven different races across Türkiye in 2026. The team, which will also compete on European circuits this season, has the following rounds on its domestic calendar: May 16–17 at Bursa Karting Circuit, June 27–28 at Kapadokya Karting Circuit, August 29–30 at Tuzla Karting Park, and September 12–13 at Uşak Municipality Race Circuit. The locations of the sixth and seventh rounds have not yet been announced; they will take place on October 3–4 and October 24–25.
