Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) Karting Team left their mark on the fifth round of the 2025 MOTUL Turkish Karting Championship with an outstanding performance. Competing at İzmit Körfez Circuit on 1–2 November, BOM Karting drivers secured team victory by achieving a total of six podium finishes across five different categories, once again proving their strength in the championship.

 

In the Micro category, young talent Zayn Sofuoğlu delivered one of the most remarkable performances of the weekend with his high level of concentration and flawless driving. Outpacing all his rivals, Sofuoğlu crossed the finish line first and claimed the top step of the podium with an impressive pace. In the Mini category, Süleyman Cem Karakömür maintained a consistent performance throughout the weekend, played a key role in the fight for the top positions, and finished the weekend in first place.

 

In the Junior category, Demir Sağım secured first place with an impressive performance, while his teammates Oğuz Marangoz finished third, Efe Ayhan eighth, and Miraç Gültegin eleventh.

 

In the highly competitive Senior category, Ayşe Çebi dominated every session from qualifying to the final, winning all races (heat 1, heat 2, pre-final and final) and taking the chequered flag in first place. She also recorded the fastest lap, collecting the maximum possible points in a single round (101 points). Competing in the same category, Batuhan Emir Saraç completed the weekend in 11th place with a consistent performance.

 

In the Master category, Muratcan Eğilmez added another podium to the team’s success by finishing second with his steady pace and experience. His teammate Can Özdoğan also delivered a strong performance, completing the weekend in fourth place.

 

With these results, BOM Karting Team once again proved to be one of the most consistent teams of the 2025 season and moved into a strong position in the championship standings ahead of the 6th round.

 

The 6th round of the 2025 MOTUL Turkish Karting Championship will take place on 22–23 November at TOSFED Körfez Karting Circuit.
