Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport Earns Crucial Points in the 5th Round of the GT4 European Series
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) has completed the fifth round of the GT4 European Series. The races took place on September 21-22 at Italy's iconic Monza Circuit, a track of great significance in motorsports. Despite challenges, the Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport team persevered to secure valuable points.
On the first day of the competition, September 21, the duo of Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim, competing in car number 11, had to retire from the race following contact in the first corner. However, Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana, driving car number 12, started from 22nd position and impressively finished in 7th place.
On the second day, September 22, Gedik and Ebrahim rebounded from their previous misfortune. Starting in 16th position, they managed to finish the race in 14th place. Besler and Piana, starting from 19th, climbed the ranks to finish in 4th, earning critical points for the team.
Following the conclusion of the fifth round, Gedik and Ebrahim placed 13th in the Silver category drivers’ standings, while Besler and Piana moved up to 3rd. Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport also improved its standing, securing 3rd place in the Teams’ Championship.
The sixth and final round of the GT4 European Series will take place on November 29-30 at the Jeddah Circuit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
