Double Podium Victory for Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport at Hockenheim!

Proudly representing Turkey in the GT4 European Series for seven seasons, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) concluded the fourth round of the series at Germany’s legendary Hockenheim track on July 20-21 with a weekend haul of five trophies, waving the Turkish flag with immense pride. The duo of Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana delivered an incredible performance, securing first place in the opening race. Pedro Ebrahim extended his streak of victories by once again claiming the Rookie Cup award. Demonstrating extraordinary resilience in the fiercely competitive GT4 European Series, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport reached the pinnacle of success.

Competing in car number 12, Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana executed a stunning comeback, moving from 19th place to finish the race in 1st, crossing the checkered flag as champions. Meanwhile, Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim, driving car number 11, were unable to finish the race due to damage sustained from a collision.

On the second day, in a race brimming with excitement, the pair of Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim, despite their misfortunes from the previous day, exhibited a stellar performance. Starting in 8th place, they climbed as high as 2nd during the race but ultimately finished in 8th position.

Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana, competing in car number 12, began the race in 17th position but climbed the ranks to finish 3rd, achieving another podium finish on the second day. Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport’s successful driver Pedro Ebrahim once again claimed the Rookie Cup, continuing his streak of victories in previous races.

Thus, the Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport Team proudly hoisted the Turkish flag on the podium with successes across all categories during the fourth round, leaving spectators with unforgettable moments.

By the end of the fourth round, the rapidly ascending team achieved remarkable standings. The duo of Yağız Gedik and Pedro Ebrahim, racing in car number 11, ranked 10th in the Silver category drivers' standings, while Berkay Besler and Gabriele Piana, racing in car number 12, climbed to 4th place. With consecutive victories, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport made a remarkable leap in the Teams' standings, reaching 2nd place.

The fifth round of the GT4 European Series will take place on September 21-22 at the Monza Circuit in Italy. The races will be broadcast live on S Sport and S Sport+ channels.
