Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM), the first and only Turkish team in the GT4 European Series, concluded the season by securing third place in both the teams' and drivers' standings. The final round, held at the Barcelona Circuit in Spain, saw BOM deliver commendable performances despite challenges.

In the first race of the 6th round, Berkay Besler and Tom Edgar finished 8th, but in the second race, a collision in the final seconds caused them to miss out on a potential second-place finish in Europe. Meanwhile, Yağız Gedik and Enzo Joulie secured 7th place in the first race, earning valuable points for the team. However, a damaged radiator forced their retirement in the second race. The duo ended the series in 12th place among 78 drivers.

Reflecting on the season, Berkay Besler expressed pride, stating, "We’ve concluded a great season, finishing third in such a competitive championship. I’m proud of myself, my teammates, and the entire crew." Tom Edgar added, "Competing in the GT4 European Series for the first time this year was an incredible experience. Securing third place in both team and driver standings in my debut season feels like a dream."

 

Yağız Gedik noted the team's progress and teamwork: "We set bigger goals each season. Thanks to the dedication of our entire crew, we successfully completed the 2023 season. I appreciate everyone’s support." Enzo Joulie highlighted the season's intense competition and said, "Despite setbacks in the final race, finishing 12th among 78 drivers is an accomplishment. I’m grateful to everyone who contributed."

Levent Kocabıyık, a Borusan Otomotiv Board Member, praised the team's consistent progress, stating, "Finishing third in the GT4 European Series during the Republic's 100th year is a monumental achievement.
